An Owner-Run Concrete Crew in Silver Springs

The name came from the pump. Most concrete contractors in Marion County don't own one, so when a pour is behind a house, at the back of a deep lot, or on ground a mixer truck will sink into, they either send a big crew with wheelbarrows or they drive the truck through the yard and hope. Alex and Reccy bought a trailer-mounted line pump so they'd never have to do either, and once they had it, other builders and masons started calling to borrow it. That's how the pumping side of the business got its own name.

The concrete side is what they've always done: driveways, house and shop slabs, patios and pool decks, sidewalks, block fill and stem walls, and repairs on the concrete somebody else poured badly. Everything goes on a compacted base with real reinforcement, gets finished by people who finish concrete every week, and gets cured instead of abandoned. That's not a slogan; it's the difference between a slab that's flat in fifteen years and one that isn't.

The shop is on E Hwy 40 in Silver Springs, just east of Ocala, which puts the whole county within a short drive and The Villages, Gainesville and the coast within a reasonable one. Quotes are written and firm. If a job needs a repair instead of a replacement, or a boom pump instead of a line pump, they'll say so rather than sell you the bigger thing.
